& Take the time to see

Let my soul lie in the water

Let my breath be silent & free

Let me taint my shattered world

With dreams of you & me.

Let the wind blow through the cold night

Let the darkness take over me

Let me give my heart to you now

I don’t want to be set free.

If I become a shadow

Walking in your steps

Would you turn the lights down over me

& let me no longer exist?

If the world was on my shoulders

& I held you up so high

Would you let me be your protector

& let me give you all my pride?

Let me bathe in the stormy waters

Let me cleanse my life of me

Let me drown my soul forever

Take my memories from me.

Let me sleep beneath the stars

Let me wake up all alone

Let me find away to live

A life that’s meant for me.

Let my mind & soul run free
